A fatal shooting occurred shortly after the brother of the hip-hop entrepreneur Yo Gotti was present at a funeral in Memphis. He passed away within a few moments of the shooting.
According to “TMZ,” Anthony “Big Jook” Mims was struck by numerous gunshots as he emerged from the Perignons Restaurant and Event Center on Winchester Road, where he had attended a repast. The incident occurred as that Mims was leaving the establishment. A location on Winchester Road is where you will find the eatery. Reports indicate that he was celebrating the life of a relative who had passed away not too long ago.
The publication on the internet claims that there are photographs and films that are circulating on the internet that show Jook lying in a pool of blood as people are attending to him. These images and videos are circulating on numerous websites.
During the time that Jook was being transported to a local hospital by emergency workers, it was eventually confirmed that he had passed away. A second individual was also struck, and after being evacuated there by helicopter, that individual was sent to a trauma hospital in critical condition. The facility is located in the United States.
In statements that Deputy Chief Paul Wright of the Memphis Police Department made to the media, he stated, “Right now we do have video that we are analyzing, but at this time we do not have a clear suspect identified.”
Reports indicated that Big Jook and his brother Yo Gotti, whose real name is Mario Mims, appeared to have a very tight relationship. Yo Gotti is the real name of Mario Mims. Jook was a member of Gotti’s label Collective Music Group, where he was responsible for promoting the artists under his label and also participated in music videos for those musicians.
